Virginia (Ginny) Dean passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at the age of 74. Ginny was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lucille Dean. She was preceded in death by her brother Peter Dean and her sister and brother-in-law Molly and Robert McMaster. She is survived by her nephew Christopher McMaster and her niece Julie Walls, Julie's husband Rick and their children Hailey and Tyler Walls.
Ginny was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 15, 1946. She grew up and lived most of her adult life in the Mr. Lookout area, where she was very popular and well-known among her neighbors. Making friends came easily to her, especially in her youth. Ginny loved to spend time with her many friends up and down Kinmont Street.
Ginny had many interests. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. She rooted for the Reds and her favorite players, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. She was always up for an ice cream cone from UDF or a trip to Frisch’s for a vanilla Coke. While her mother was still alive, Ginny spent many hours playing cards with her group of “Girlfriends”. And during the holidays, she loved to take a car ride to look at the Christmas lights.
Ginny was a sweet and loving woman. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was a devoted daughter and sister. She admired her parents and siblings greatly. And taking care of her was their top priority.
Nothing made Ginny happier than spending time with her family and friends. She loved to be silly and have fun with her niece and nephew when they were young. Many times they would laugh and joke until tears came to their eyes. She loved babies and spent hours holding Chris and Julie when they were small. As Chris and Julie got older, Ginny loved going out for lunch and spending every holiday with them. She loved to hear about all the things going on with her “buddy” Rick, and her two favorite kids, Hailey and Tyler.
Ginny was blessed to spend her later years at Graceworks Enhanced Living in the Wyoming neighborhood of Cincinnati where she made many friends and kept everyone on their toes.
Ginny enjoyed the simple things in life and taught those who knew her to do the same. She loved with her whole heart and always let you know how important you were to her. She will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known her.
Visitation will be September 3, 2021, at Christ the King Church, 3223 Linwood Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45226, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.
