Ruth Paul Bradish

Ruth Paul Bradish passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 95.  Ruth is survived by daughters Kathi Benson, Sherrie (Bryan) Peck, and Dianne “DD” (James “Skip”) Koscianski.  She was preceded in death by husbands Edwin “Ed” Paul and Floyd Bradish, and daughter Cindy.  She was loving grandmother “Mum” to grandchildren Jenny (Jeff), Janet, Steve (Caprice), Dan, David (Ashley), Billy (Kate), Allie (Drew), and Brian, as well as six great grandchildren.

Ruth was born and raised in Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Massachusetts.  She and Ed Paul raised their family near Chicago and Ruth taught second grade there for many years.  After being widowed for 24 years she married Floyd Bradish and lived in South Carolina.  Later she moved to Cincinnati to be closer to family.

Ever the optimist, Ruth truly believed that life is wonderful.  In spite of her tragedies, Ruth turned lemons into lemonade and showed tremendous strength.  She found joy in travel and explored much of the world on her own.  Her favorite spot was the family cottage in Maine where she spent many summers.  We will miss her cheerful smile and optimism.

Following a private family memorial, Ruth will be buried in the family plot on Chebeague Island, Maine.  Donations may be made to the Recompense Fund of Chebeague Island, PO Box 42, Chebeague Island, ME 04017; to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4360 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242, or to a charity of your choice.
