Richard Hallberg, Jr. Obituary

Richard Leander Hallberg Jr, (82), of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 surrounded by his family. Richard, fondly known as Rick, was born to Susie and Richard Hallberg on July 17, 1940 in Fredericksburg, VA. Rick was a veteran of the US Army and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. After a successful career in the automotive industry Rick went on to start his own company Automotive International in 1973 with his father-in-law David. Very passionate about business, he managed the company up until his passing.

When Rick was not working he enjoyed spending his free time with his family at their second home in Florida. You could find him fishing on his boat while traveling between south Florida and the Bahamas. In addition to boating and fishing he loved to spend time hunting or playing golf.

Rick is survived by his loving wife Pam and four children Trey, Jeff, Bertram, Ashley and their spouses and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Susan Schlict, and brother Chris Hallberg, in addition to his many nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Susie and Richard Hallberg.

Rick had a larger than life personality and was well liked by everyone that he came in contact with. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
