Nancy H Wolf, 88, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Born in Fremont, OH on March 12, 1934, she was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Wilma (Reineck) Havens, husband Kenneth E Wolf, and granddaughter Jessica L. Tillery.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughters Tamara Russell (Joe Gray), Debra Tillery (Ken), Elizabeth Skufca (Chris), and son Ken M Wolf; grandchildren Joseph, Jr (Ashley) and Derek Gray; Kevin Tillery; and Zach, Kate and Paige Skufca; great grandsons Camden and Colton Gray; sister DeeDee Wadsworth, and many, many treasured nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Nan grew up in Fremont, OH, attending St Joseph Catholic schools (class of 1952) and Michigan State University. After moving to Cincinnati in 1964, she married Ken in 1967, and happily lived on Arcadia Place with wonderful neighbors for 43 years, even serving a term as its “mayor.” Nan was an active member of St Mary Hyde Park parish, especially their annual festivals. She was a strong parent supporter of her children’s schools; Summit, St Ursula Villa, Ursula Academy, St Mary, and St Xavier. For many years, she and Ken enjoyed a lively dinner club group. They were also very staunch Bengals and Bearcats football supporters, attending all home games regardless of weather, even proudly driving with friends in their Bengal bus.
In 2010, they moved to Montgomery near daughter Elizabeth’s family, embracing a whole new set of wonderful neighbors and traditions.
She spent over 25 years as manager and then owner of the Party Bazaar store in Hyde Park Square. She enjoyed over 39 years playing in a monthly domino club with friends who became very dear, enjoying playing with them just two weeks before her passing. Summers she was happiest at an annual extended family reunion week in Marblehead on Lake Erie. Beloved by her own family, she was quickly Mom or Nana to her children’s and grandchildren’s friends and neighbors through her kindness and caring. Nan will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
