Nancy Becker

Nancy Becker (nee Lane) peacefully passed away September 11 surrounded by her children after a four year fight with lymphoma. Nancy was born to Hope (nee Hackney) and John Lane  in Harriman, TN. Nancy was a graduate of Walnut Hills High School Class of 1949. Beloved wife of the late Robert Becker, DDS, they lived in his family home in Mariemont where they enjoyed days spent in their beautiful garden.

Nancy is survived by her brothers Tom (Donna) Lane and Dennis (Dixie) Lane; her children Cathey (Randy) Ralph, John (Corrine) Becker, Charlie (Genevieve) Becker; her stepchildren George (Heather) Becker, Jim (Dee Bell) Becker, Robert (Yoko) Becker; her grandchildren Austin Ralph, Brooks Ralph, Audrey Becker, Anni Becker, Willie Becker, Alan (Jim) Becker, Alan (Robert) Becker, Grace Becker and Harmony Becker. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and her brother James.

Nancy was a 21 year member of the Garden Club of Mariemont, where she served 8 years as recording secretary and 3 years on the nominating committee. Her true passion was collecting and identifying donated plants from member’s gardens to divide and re-pot for sale at the annual spring plant sale fundraiser, which funds beautification projects in the Village.

The family would like to thank Dr. Miguel Islas and his team at OHC as well as the outstanding care she received from Hospice of Cincinnati, namely her friend and nurse, Marcy Ehlers.
