Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, Mary Elizabeth "Beth" (Busemeyer), age 59, suddenly passed on July 2nd 2021 at her second home in Christiansburg, VA.

Beth was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jane (Burwinkle) and Alfred Busemeyer graduating from Lakota HS in 1979.

Post high school, Beth attended the University of Dayton to study marketing where she met her life partner and future husband, Mark.

After college the couple was married at St. John's Catholic Church in West Chester, OH and moved to N.J. where their first son, Anthony (Tony) was born. Less than 2 years later while living in Indiana they were blessed with a 2nd child, Peter. In 1987 Beth and Mark returned to Cincinnati to raise their family.

Beth's sons were her pride and joy. The role of a nurturing, loving mother, fun grandma and devoted wife was her life-long passion and proudest accomplishment.

Her boundless creative energy, vision and emotion impacted everyone she met. Beth's loving nature and dynamic problem solving capabilities were on full display with her culinary, landscaping and home décor/remodeling skills that she shared with family, neighbors and friends.

Beth is survived by her loving husband Mark Cunningham (West Chester OH), sons, Tony (Meghan) West Chester, OH and Peter (Ali) Rogers, AR and by her mother Jane Busemeyer (West Chester, OH), sisters Cathy (Bob) Fritzsche Cumming, GA, and Monica (Geoff) Saylor West Chester, OH, and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, Henry and Eleanor. Beth was preceded into heaven by her father, Al Busemeyer (1998).
