Marilyn D'Alonzo Obituary

Marilyn L. D’Alonzo (nee Braun) (June 26, 1953 - September 14, 2021) passed away with grace while surrounded by her family after a long battle with neuroendocrine cancer. Marilyn was born to Mary (nee Kunkemoeller) and William Braun in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marilyn is survived by her husband Dr. Raphael (Ray) D’Alonzo, her daughter Yvonne DeAngelis (nee Schrantz), her son Dominic D’Alonzo, her step-daughter Shanta D’Alonzo Tucker, her grandchildren Remington DeAngelis, Reed DeAngelis and Caleb Tucker, her brothers Michael, Robert, David, Lawrence, and Thomas, and sister Alicia. Marilyn was also a loving sister to her predeceased sisters Elizabeth, Janet, and Amy.

Marilyn was a dedicated volunteer at All Saints Catholic Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 20 years, and as a client advocate for young mothers at Pregnancy Center East. She loved arts and crafts and often used her creations and artistic talents when teaching young children.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 22nd, 6-8pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd 45236.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 23rd, 10:30am at All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd 45236.

Burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Philadelphia, Thursday, September 30th at Noon.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pregnancy Center East or Queen City Hospice.
