James A. Stofko & Mary Sylvia “Sis” (Eysoldt) Stofko suddenly left this world within days of each other on March 12th and March 16th respectively.
Jim died unexpectedly and suddenly in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 12th. He was the son of Andy & Betty Stofko and the loving father of Jimmy (Sheila), Greg (Angie), and Michael. Proud grandfather of Jamie (Andrew Fritsch), Nick, Ryan, Jessie, Monte Madaris, Andrew, and Joey. Survived by his only sister Andrea (Tom) Lamirand Iwan of Cleveland, Ohio. Jim was an amazing multi-sport athlete at Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Cleveland, OH where he is a member of the athletic hall of fame. His success led to a football scholarship to Xavier University where he played tight end for the Musketeers. Upon graduation in 1966, Jim eventually became a staple in the Cincinnati area real estate world for 51 years while working as general manager of Sibcy Cline Realtors. Lifelong friend of Rob & Pam Sibcy.
Sis died peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 16th. She gave her life to her three (3) sons being a full-time mother to Jimmy, Greg, and Michael. Daughter of Marty & Sylvia Eysoldt. Survived by her brother Marty (Arleen) Eysoldt & her only sister Gloria (Buddy) Bell and many nieces and nephews. Great grandparent of Harper & Collins. Preceded in death by Vince (Kay) and Jimmy (Debbie) Eysoldt. Sis and Jim met while he was a student at Xavier University and they married on June 18, 1966 at St. John’s in Silverton, OH. She was a proud graduate of St. John’s Elementary and Mount Notre Dame High School class of ‘61.
Jim and Sis gave all they had to their boys and all their sports endeavors at Archbishop Moeller High School. They were fans of Moeller High School where they had a son and/or grandson playing for 20 seasons over the years. Their home in Montgomery was a second home and hangout for the entire Moeller Family where Sis loved to cook for the kids. If you ever went to a local casino, you might have been lucky enough to run into them.
Visitation at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45236 from 4-7pm on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023.
