James Robert Oberschmidt, age 62, of Peaselburg, KY flew upward to spend eternity with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022. His strength of character and unending generosity of spirit will be his legacy for generations to come.
Born in Columbus, OH to Robert and E. Jane Oberschmidt, he had resided in so many homes, and was loved by all who knew him. Spending over forty years in aviation, he traveled the world, touching hearts and minds everywhere he went.
An active parishioner of Mary Queen of Heaven in Erlanger, KY, he served many roles, including teacher and student.
He is survived by his mother, E. Jane Oberschmidt; children Jonathan, Jason, wife Monica, and 2 grandchildren; sister Mary Lou Hittle; brothers Mark, Tom, Eric, and Gregory Oberschmidt; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held for James at 11am on Sept 23rd at Mary Queen of Heaven in Erlanger, KY, preceded by a short visitation and followed by a committal at Old St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Price Hill, OH. His earthly remains will rest next to his father, Robert D. Oberschmidt, at Old St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Price Hill, OH.
