Helen E. Roush

Helen Elizabeth Roush was born October 27, 1923, to James Reed and Mabel (nee Businger) McBeth. Helen grew up in the Oakley area of Cincinnati and graduated from Withrow High School in 1942. After high school Helen studied nursing at the Christ Hospital School of Nursing. Helen married her high school sweetheart Donald E Roush on Christmas Eve, 1945. Helen and Donald lived in Blue Ash from 1950 to 1972 where they raised two children Wendy Ferguson, of Roanoke, VA, who predeceased her, and Tod Roush, of Wausau, WI. In 1976 Helen and Don moved to Bolivar, TN. In 1980 Helen moved back to Cincinnati to work at AAA auto travel where she retired in the Kenwood area.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, two older sisters Pauline Raibounre and Thelma Weglelin, and two older brothers Kenny McBeth and Carroll McBeth. In addition to her son, Helen is survived by a sister-in-law Muriel McBeth of Monroe, MI and granddaughter Dawn Ferguson of Roanoke, VA.

Helen died peacefully on December 18, 2022 at the age of 99.

Helen was an avid gardener, antique collector, and skilled crafter. She was a member of Mt. Caramel Baptist Church and a friend to all she met.

Visitation, Wednesday, January 4, 2022 10:00am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am. Both at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd 45236.
