Francis T. Reichard

Francis Thomas “Tom” Reichard, Beloved Husband of 60 years to Linda Reichard (nee Dawson); loving father of John (Marla), Jeff (Gina) and Sarah (Jason). Dearest grandfather of Levi and Wyatt Reichard, Gabby, Dawson and Spencer Reichard, Keeton and Madeleine Potinsky. Cherished son of the late Regina and Russell Reichard, and brother of William (Patricia) Reichard, Jeanne Ann Niklas (Mel), and the late Leo (Kathleen) Reichard.

He graduated St. Ignatius High School in 1953, obtained his undergraduate degree in Geology from Kent State University, and earned a master’s degree in math education from Cleveland State University. In addition to his academic achievements, he also served in the U.S. Army at Fort Benning, GA. He taught mathematics with Fairview Park Schools for 30 years, during which time he also coached the school’s tennis team.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, skiing, kayaking and roller blading well into retirement. He shared many outdoor adventures with his children, including ski trips with his son John, climbing and backpacking trips with his son Jeff, and biking across Ireland with his daughter Sarah. Tom and his wife Linda enjoyed international travel with a close group of friends and had visited several countries including the UK, Germany, France, Portugal and Croatia, among others. They moved to Cincinnati from Brunswick, Ohio in 2016 to be closer to their beloved children and grandchildren.

Funeral Mass, All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati OH, Saturday, October 14th at 9 AM. Mass will be live-streamed on the All Saints website at https://allsaints.cc/view-our-mass-online. Friends may call at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd., Friday, October 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
