We regret to announce the passing of the Honorable Judge David Parks Davis, age 81 on Monday July 5th, 2021.
David was born in Hindman, Kentucky on May 9th, 1940 to Homer and Sue (Parks) Davis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty-five years Charlotte (Taylor) Davis, both parents, and his sister Carolyn (Davis) Daye.
Growing up in Kentucky and Ohio, David attended both Jenkins High School and Middletown High School where he was captain of the football team and voted “Mr. Touchdown” by his fellow team-mates. He first attended Morehead State College achieving a degree in education and became a teacher in 1965.
Hungry for a new adventure, David began a second career in the legal field after graduating from Chase College of Law. David had a long and storied career as first a lawyer, then municipal court judge, and finally a trial court judge in the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court system.
David was an avid lover of golf, all things country western, Willie Nelson, and especially Elvis Presley.
He is survived by his children Bradley Davis and Jenna Davis, daughter-in-law April (White) Davis, grandchildren Bryan and Tyler Davis, and brother and sister-in-law Philip (Dee) Davis.
The visitation will be Saturday, July 24th 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm, with a Memorial Service to begin immediately after at Madeira Silverwood Presbyterian Church, 8000 Miami Ave, Madeira, OH 45243.
