Obituary

Carolyn Elizabeth Hoffman (née Daffin), beloved wife of Dudley Hoffman, devoted mother of Kendahl (Jay) Schloss, Heather (Brian) Tye, and the late Todd Harris Hoffman, cherished grandmother to Allison, Scott, Amy Schloss and Kennedy Tye, loving sister to Rev. James Robert (Penny) Daffin and the late Marilyn Daffin (Al) Underberg. Departed on April 26, 2023, at the age of 88.

Carolyn grew up in Panama City, Florida, and worked in retail before retiring to pursue her favorite job, raising her three children. She and Dudley made their homes in Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Ohio and Edisto Island, South Carolina. While living on Edisto Island, she started a tour business. She loved sharing the history of her new home in South Carolina with visitors. With retirement, and in order to be closer to family, Carolyn and Dudley returned to Cincinnati, where they spent many years surrounded by family and treasured friends.

Carolyn will be remembered by all for her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and her love for family.
