Allen C. Haines

Allen C Haines, 76 of Anderson Township passed away Monday 10/2/2023. He was born September 6th, 1947 to Edgar and Lois Haines. He is survived by his daughter Catherine (Kris) Kees of Cincinnati, OH, son Brian Haines of Cincinnati, OH, brother Robert (Carole) Haines of Blanchester, OH, grandchildren Nico and Elaine Kees. He was preceded in death by his late wife Elaine T Haines and two siblings.

Allen graduated from Blanchester HS in 1965 and went on to obtain a Bachelors Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He then enlisted in the Army, graduating from OCS 51ST Co. 26-70 at Ft Benning, Georgia. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War as a Lieutenant.

Afterwards he settled in Hillsboro, Ohio and joined the family business. Allen was a member of many organizations, including Jaycees and Rotary Club. He also spent many years helping with the Highland County Crippled Children’s Foundation yearly telethon (now Highland County Society for Children and Adults), served on the Hillsboro City Council, and in recent years the Army’s OCS Alumni Board. He was an avid Bridge player and looked forward to his weekly games. Memorials may be made to Highland County Society for Children and Adults.

There will be a graveside service 12pm on Friday 10/13/2023 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249) with a reception featuring refreshments to follow at deSha’s (11320 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249) 1pm until 4pm.
