William Ward Ventress, 85, resident of Naples, Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2010. He was born on August 8, 1924 in Cincinnati. He attended Norwood High School and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Later, he received his Law Degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Preceding him in death was his wife of 59 years, Lorraine Schofield. Together they had four children; Pam Cutcliff (Bill), Linda Weghorst (Jim), Gary (Patricia) and Jill Altman. He was a proud grandfather to Jeff, Anne, Mike, Ryan, Michael and Scott, and a great-grandfather to Madison and Tyler. Bill was employed by Procter and Gamble for over 40 years, most of them in the Legal Division, and served as Mayor of both Montgomery and Indian Hill. After retirement, Bill established the Tithe and More Real Estate Company in Naples, Florida. He was an active member in both North Naples United Methodist Church and Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church in Indian Hill. Volunteering was a huge part of Bill's life. He felt those individuals that were fortunate needed to share their blessings. He lived his life serving The Lord. A Memorial Service will be held at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 8 at 10:30 AM.
