William David Satchell After 54 years of sharing love, joy, and laughter with family and friends, Bill was called to Heaven on December 20, 2016 to join his loving parents, Wilbur and Marilee (Aubuchon) Satchell. He was born May 5, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill immediately made the lives of those he met better with his ready smile, bright eyes, and caring personality. His love for others, his joy in everything he did, and his enthusiasm at facing each new day was an inspiration to every person he touched. Through his kindness, warmth, and quick wit, he was able to transform others around him, making them stronger, happier, wiser, and more compassionate. Bill enjoyed any game involving a ball, whether it was shooting hoops or bowling with his friends on Saturday afternoons. He loved cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and the Kentucky Wildcats. He was active in the Special Olympics and excelled at every activity he tried. If music was being played, Bill was dancing, perhaps a little offbeat. He could be heard singing loudly at Mass and had a great appreciation for a good cheeseburger and a cold Pepsi. Bill will now look over all those who cared for him, who will miss him more than can be expressed. Surviving are his sisters Mary (Norm) Tonjes and Barbara (Gregg) Bardon, brother Robert (Connie) Satchell, aunt Gertrude Stuntebeck, and seven nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by many cousins, great-nieces and -nephews, friends, caregivers, and even people who were moved and inspired by stories of him. Thanks be to God for giving us the light of our family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on December 27, 2016 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Madeira. Family and friends will gather in the Parish Center one hour prior to the Mass to share their fondest memories of Bill.
