William Clayton McCorkel, 89, of Mason, Ohio, passed away on August 28, 2024. William was born on March 4, 1935, to Bernie B. McCorkel and Ettie G. Silcox in Atmore, Alabama. He served in the United Stated Air Force as Chief Master Sergent for 30 years. After serving his country he continued his career in aeronautics at General Electric. Upon retiring he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, cooking and telling a funny story.

William was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, brother Damon, and stepson, Christopher Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife Johnnie (Berry) McCorkel, his daughters Viki McCorkel and Linda McKee and his stepchildren, Michael Mahler, Melissa Belcher and Todd Rodriguez and his sisters, Autrey Feaster and Kayrean Baggett.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Liberty Township.
