Born on February 5, 1946, in Cincinnati, Bill was the beloved son of the late William L. and Carolyn (Currie) Harland. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1965 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Cincinnati. Bill built a distinguished career in insurance and investments, serving at multiple financial institutions before concluding his career at Fidelity Investments. He was widely respected for his knowledge, integrity, and dedication to helping others plan for their futures.

Bill married the love of his life, Julie Quinn, on March 31, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was known for his enthusiasm for cars and firearms, and he was an active member of Ducks Unlimited. Bill greatly enjoyed traveling with Julie on cruises and trips across the country. He spent much of his free time coaching his children in sports, and later took great pride in cheering on his grandchildren at their athletic and musical events. He will be remembered for his deep devotion to family, strong work ethic, warm sense of humor, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Harland; his children, Stephanie Kieninger (Kurt) and Courtney Veigel (Erich); his grandchildren, Emily Hamilton (Alexander), Ethan Veigel, Quinn Kieninger, Erich Veigel Jr., and Kyle Kieninger; and his cherished dog, Beau.
