Wayne Ferguson died Monday morning, October 29, 2007, at the age of 87. Wayne, born Wayne Love Moore, graduated from Withrow High School in 1938 and married James Ferguson. Together, she and her husband not only raised a family, but succeeded in building the Ferguson Moving and Storage Company into a successful and thriving enterprise. Wayne was active in neighborhood business associations, as well as charitable organizations. She was formerly Secretary of the Ferguson Moving and Storage Company, and held the position of President of Ferguson Reality Company, a locally owned small business, until her death. Wayne was an active member of the Queen City Women's Club and held the position of President for several terms. She enjoyed meeting people and entertained them with her wit and charm. She later became a resident of Amber Park, where she met new friends quickly and became an integral part of the community. She was often recognized for her volunteer efforts within the retirement community. Wayne is survived by three daughters and one son: Mrs. J. Kay Eby (of Cincinnati), Mr. William Ferguson (of Cincinnati), Mrs. Debbie Courtliff (of Smithers, BC, Canada), and Mrs. Wendy Chalk (of Cincinnati), 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
