Wahnoka Thomas Schott, Age 87, Born in Ashland, KY on November 18, 1933, passed away on August 16, 2021.

Wahnoka graduated from Norwood High School in 1952. She was the loving wife of Leo A. Schott (passed away on June 26, 2009). They were married December 26, 1953. Wahnoka leaves to cherish her memories, three children; Linda (Bob) Mangum of Braselton, GA, Leo A. (Karen) Schott Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, and Paul D. Schott of Cincinnati, Ohio. She leaves behind seven grandchildren; Brian, Michelle, Leo III "TJ", Tiffany, Brandi, Lilly and Arlee. Wahnoka also leaves behind fourteen great-grandchildren; Eden, Brielle, Tierney, Teague, Olive, Arden, Cadence, Melody, Logan, Linleigh, Leo, Levi, Marley and Nova. Wahnoka is survived by her sisters; Jackie (Robert) Moore and Lillian "Jo" (Pete) Schroeder and sisters-in-law, Betty Schott, Carol Thomas, Esther Suetholz and Betty Thomas. She is predeceased by siblings Joe, Charlie, Dave, and Patty.

Wahnoka retired after thirty-eight years of teaching pre-school children in the Cincinnati area. In the early 60's Wahnoka cared for and fostered sixteen babies over a period of years allowing these precious children an opportunity for a great start in life. Her love and caring for children were one of her greatest strengths.

Visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Home, Kenwood, 8225 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45236 on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Graveside burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery, 2701 Latonia Ave. Covington, KY immediately following the visitation.
