Virginia Gulino (nee Plogsted) beloved wife of the late Ateo L. Gulino, loving mother of Talia C. Dillahey and Denis G (Donna Bryson) Gulino, dear sister of Marilyn Plogsted Bush, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Virginia was an eternal student. At seventy-nine years of age she received a Bachelor's degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati while she assisted her twelve grandchildren through college. But her greatest pride was her actor -husband's success as a business executive who expanded the Cincinnati DuBois/Chemed Chemical Company into ten foreign countries during a fifty year career. After playing the lead in the senior play, Hughes High School sent her to her first job at the Crosley Distributing Company as an accountant. She registered for night classes of intense study at The Atherton School of Theater Arts. Three years later, the school sent her as an a apprentice to the Cohasset Playhouse in Massachusetts where when was offered a role in a Broadway play. She felt this experience and training guided her entire life. While rearing a family she began piano study and Interior Design and later taught Piano and Diction. She designed two of the family homes, one contemporary, and the other Japanese. In the last 25 years, as a resident tof Florida, she continued college classes in several cities. While living in Naples, FL, she received a Certificate for "Education for Parish Services" from Trinity College. When she moved to a retirement facility she continued to write talks and skits, but never stopped playing the piano. She served on the Cincinnati Symphony Women's Committee, and as President of the Cincinnati Keyboard Club. She was a member of Father Finn Society that recognizes Xavier University Legacies of Life, a Founder of Ave Maria University of Naples and was an active member of the Naples Music Club. There will be no visitation but a Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, at St. Gertrude's Church, 7630 Shawnee Run Rd in Madeira, Ohio.
