Violet Helen Robertson (nee Kuhn), 91, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2012, at her home. Born October 8, 1920, on the West side of Cincinnati to Roy and Anna Kuhn. Devoted and loving wife of 65 years to the late Robert "Bob" Robertson, beloved mother of Marcia (Bill) Robertson Leonard, Judith Robertson Krakow, Patti (Larry) Robertson Greenberg, Debby (Robert) Warren, Scott (Lauri) Robertson and Mark (Mary Joshua) Robertson. She was also an adoring and devoted grandmother of twelve. Vi graduated from Western Hills High School, where she was an excellent student, a member of G.A.A., and played field hockey. She loved to compete in county fair track events and took home many blue ribbons. During WWII she and her sister Della went to Washington D.C. and worked for the Agriculture Department. After WWII, she married Bob. Both were devout Christians with a strong faith and both wanted a large family. Both loved sports, participating in them as well as attending events; they also loved traveling. They were best friends. Vi loved caring for her husband and children and she worked for many charity events and causes. Whenever her family, friends, or community needed her, she helped them. Vi also had a keen sense of adventure and she thoroughly enjoyed the many rich and varied experiences she shared with family and friends, and most especially with Bob. Giving of herself to her family was the most important thing in Vi's life, whether it was keeping the books in Bob's business, being a Girl Scout leader, doing the detailed planning for all the family's activities and gatherings, or simply sitting at the family dinner table, contentedly listening to their stories of the day. Her family brought Violet a joy and deep sense of fulfillment that nothing else in her life could ever match. A private family service has been held at the MadeiraSilverwood Presbyterian Church and Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stepping Stones Center, 5650 Given Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45243 in loving memory of Violet Robertson.
