Viola Lucia "Vi" Stenger (nee Kunkel) of Cincinnati, age 100, went home to her Lord, January 25, 2025. Vi was born in Bath, IN on July 6th, 1924 to the late William and Rosa (Meyer) Kunkel. She was married May 17, 1947 to Sylvester C. Stenger.

Vi was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great Great-Grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Vi enjoyed married life and loved celebrating her children and grandchildren's achievements. She convinced each of us that Jesus loved us and that we were special.

Vi had deep love and respect for her parents, brothers and sisters, talking of them often.

Vi was a firm believer in Christ, offering invocations and acting as Chaplain in many organizations over the years. She cherished her weekly St. Saviour Bible Studies group.

Vi is survived by her loving children - Ken (June), Kathy (the late Keith) McMahan, David (Kim), Mel (Vince Morgante), Janet (Kevin) Jester and Kevin (Pat) Stenger; beloved grandchildren - Tracey (Troy) Wagner, Jimmy, Tiffany, Jason, Kelly (Kim) McMahan, Kristy (Tim) Fox, Kyle (Melissa) McMahan, Kevin, Katy (Dan Ellis) McMahan, Kara (DJ) Jaspers, Kaylin (Doug) Bruce, Karisa (Justin) Nobel, April (Ben) Raleigh, Amy (Tracy) Eudy, Davey Stenger, Paul (Krystal) Morgante, Eoin O'Eoin, Bill (Laura) Jester, Lauren (Eric) Garten, Alex (Laura) Jester, Natalie (Demetrius) Coklaw, Brian (Brittany) Stenger, Stacey (Anthony) Shin and Scott (Anna) Stenger; great-grandchildren - Tyler & Tarah Wagner, Emily (Chip) Hais, Alexis (Nate) Volski, Aiden Stanton, Mallory Fox, Lilah (Jacob) Kreitzer, Karli (Joe) Sizemore, Griffin (Rachael) McMahan, Will McMahan, Petra McMahan, Kyia Voss, Johnny & Emma Huckabay, Daniel Ellis, Kainen, Heidi, Braiden & Bella Jaspers, Douglas & Daniel Bruce, Sierra, Hailey & Parker Noble, Annabelle, Luke & Knox Raleigh, Sebastian & Jake Eudy, Malina Morgante, Raelei Jester, Marinne, Calyn, Jane Jester and Julia Jester, William and Cameron Stenger; Great Great-grandsons - CJ & Owen Hais and Ledger & Landon Volski; siblings - Mitzi Ziegler and Charles Kunkel; Sisters-in-law - Nancy Kunkel and Joan Oesterling; too numerous to list, loving nieces and nephews and family friends who will cherish Vi's memory.

In addition to her parents, Viola is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Sylvester C. "Wes" Stenger, many of hers & Wes' siblings, their husbands & wives, her son-in-law, Keith McMahan and granddaughter, Kandice McMahan.

Visitation will be held prior to Mass, on February 8, 2025, from 10 - 11AM at St. Saviour Church, 4136 Myrtle Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45236. Rosary will begin at 11:15 with Mass following at 11:30. Luncheon immediately following Mass, in the Undercroft.

Vi will be laid to rest on February 10, 2025 next to her husband at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, 11000 Montgomery Rd., 45249.
