Tim Kelleher, loving husband of Mary Gray (nee Thornton) passed peacefully in the presence of family on July 19th . Born January 04, 1940, Tim was a proud graduate of the Xavier University class of 1962 with a Political Science degree and a lifelong supporter and member of the Alumni Association. He served as a K9 MP SGT in the US Army from 1962-1964, and as a Reservist until 1968. He married Mary Gray in 1966 and they had 3 children. Catherine (Michael Stonebreaker), Joseph (Heidi Curto), and Sarah Bose.

Tim began his working career at General Motors in Norwood OH, then Rockwell International in Winchester KY and Troy MI, and retired after his work at Detroit Free Press/ Detroit Newspaper Agency. He's remembered and celebrated for his role as a company negotiator and spokesperson during the Detroit Newspaper Strike where he served as the Senior Vice President of Labor Relations. Tim was active at Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills MI, where he served a term as President. He was a Trustee of Detroit Macomb Hospital from 1991-1998, and was an employer representative member of the Newspaper Guild Pension Fund for 32 years serving as co-chair since 2002. Tim was proud of his commission as a Kentucky Colonel and was an active Maker's Mark Ambassador. Tim is survived by 8 grandchildren, who in addition to everyone who ever met Tim, remember him for his quick wit and his out-sized sense of humor.

Visitation will be at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. Cincinnati OH on Sunday August 10th from 12 noon-2pm, followed by a service from 2-3pm. Remembrances should be in the form of bourbon, shared with friends, while talking about Tim and if you are so moved, a little something to the American Cancer Society in his name.
