Thomas A. Winstel, beloved husband for 50 years of Judith Ann Markesbery Winstel departed Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the age of 74. He attended Mount Notre Dame and Nativity grade school, Purcell High School and Xavier University. Tom was an entrepreneur and founded Engineering Excellence, Inc. The company was awarded ACCA Quality Contractor of the Year in 1995, ACCA Commercial Excellence Award in 2006 and Commercial Contractor of the Year by Contracting Business magazine in 2005. Tom was an avid sportsman, conservationist and field trial dog trainer. He was recognized as a National Trustee for Ducks Unlimited. Tom will be missed by his sportsmen's buddies at the Zanesfield Rod and Gun Club, Sycamore Sportsmen's Club, Milford Gun Club, Seraphim Ranch and Terrace Park Country Club. He was the devoted father of Thomas J. (Carol D.) Winstel, Ann E. (William J. Jr.) Moran, Julia C. (Stephen S.) Lazarus, Mary W. (Timothy B.) Seaman and Jennifer L. (William A.) Brandt, loving brother of Frank (Dorothy) Winstel, Robert (Suzanne) Winstel and Joan (the late Rich King) Weidenbruch, dear grandfather of Allison M., Margaret M. and James T. Winstel, William III (Liam) and Julia E. Moran, Allison M., Margaret S., Samuel S. and Gertrude E. Lazarus, Judith R. and Benjamin R. Seaman, Alexander T., Mary Claire and Henry W. Brandt, also survived by nieces and nephews, loving son of the late Frank E. and Gertrude Rohs Winstel. Visitation Monday May 5 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave. from 4 to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1600 Madison Rd. Donations may be made in memory of Thomas A.
