Thomas A. Luken, 92, passed away on January 10th, 2018. Loving husband of Shirley A. Luken (ne Ast) for 70 years. Cherished father of Mary Miller, Charlie Luken, Timothy Luken, Peggy Sandman, Elizabeth Luken, Martha Mocahbee, and Matt Luken. Preceded in Death by daughter Annie Hall. Proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and great-grandfather 16 great-grandchildren. He was a lieutenant in the Marine Corps during WWII. Graduate of Purcell high school, Xavier University, and Chase law school. In a long and distinguished career, he served as United States attorney, Cincinnati city councilman, mayor of Cincinnati, and United States congressman. Visitation will be held in the undercroft of St. Xavier Church, 611 Sycamore St., held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Memorial Mass at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
