Thomas J. Geygan Sr. (Tom), age 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on December 13, 2021, from cancer. He was born on February 8, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom was the beloved husband for 57 years to Avis Geygan. He was the father to Thomas Jr. (Griselda) Cincinnati OH, Amy Robinson (David) Independence KY; Andrew (Jennifer) Charlotte NC; and Doug (Carrie) Cincinnati OH, as well as the grandfather of ten grandchildren: Jacob Stigleman, Martin Geygan, Cassandra Stigleman, Julia Geygan, Alexander Robinson, Delaney Geygan, Ian Geygan, Andrew Geygan, Collin Geygan, and Tait Geygan and great grandfather to Tucker Robinson, and Luna Elliott. His one brother Alan Geygan preceded him in death.

Tom Sr, graduated from Purcell High School in 1955, Xavier University in 1960, and University of Cincinnati Law School in 1963. Tom Sr. Served in the Air Force and in the Ohio National Guard in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Tom Sr. practiced law privately and served as a United States Bankruptcy Trustee.

Tom Sr, cared deeply about his family and friends. His passion was flying. He became interested in flying airplanes at Xavier University. Throughout his aviation history completed in Airshows, built an airplane, and was an active member of the Flying Knights Club at Lunken Airport. Tom Sr. logged more than 3,000 hours flying and his last flight occurred this fall.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road in Kenwood (at the intersection of E. Galbraith and Montgomery). A Service with military honors will follow immediately after the visitation

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Xavier University, 3800 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207-5430.
