Thomas J. Bruggeman, son of William and Lucy Bruggeman, beloved husband of Dolores A. Bruggeman (Kramer) for over 50 years, devoted father of Carl, Martin, Paul, Phil, John, and grandfather of three passed away on Thursday, July 21st 2011, after a brief illness. A graduate of Purcell High School '47, University of Dayton, Professor of Mathematics at Xavier University for over 35 years, he was a founding member of the XU Computer Center, a member of Pi Mu Epsilon. He authored articles in Mathematics Journals and co-authored a Math of Finance book while at Xavier. He was a member of the parish choir, the first parish council president, and a member of St Agnes Church (Bond Hill) for over 35 years. Visitation will be at The Church of the Resurrection (formerly St. Agnes Church in Bond Hill) on Monday, July 25 from 5-7pm. A Mass of Celebration will be on Tuesday, July 26th at 11AM, also at The Church of the Resurrection. Reception following the Mass will be at the Cintas Center at Xavier University. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Xavier Univeristy or Purcell Marian High School in his memory.
