IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theodore "Ted"
A. Kissel, Iii
September 22, 1946 – July 19, 2024
Ladies and Gentleman this is your Captain Speaking:
Buckle up for an uplifting tribute, because we're about to take off on a one-of-a-kind celebratory loop to honor a true high-flier, Captain Theodore "Ted" A. Kissel. On July 19, 2024, Ted made his last take-off to that big blue yonder at the age of 77, leaving behind a vapor trail of joy and laughter.
Born with his head in the clouds on September 22, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ted was a whiz at Western Hills High School and soared through his studies at the University of Cincinnati. His professional life reached cruising altitude when he spread his wings as a pilot, becoming as skilled with one-liners as he was with landing gear.
Flying solo now is Ted's wingman, Pamela S. Kissel née Pike, who, with the help of their two ace pilots, Theodore A. Kissel IV (copiloted by Marie Hallman) and Robert V. Kissel, will keep the control tower lit. While Ted's sisters, Penelope Parker née Kissel, and Roxane Myers née Kissel, along with Stepsister Patty Young Rudolph, are surely going to miss his cockpit humor, we take comfort knowing his parents, Theodore A. Kissel Jr. and Marion G. Kissel-Young née McMahon, along with sister Dawnlynn Kissel, have already prepared the heavenly hangar for his arrival.
You're cleared for a direct approach to Ted's final earthly hangar visitation on Saturday, July 27, 2024, which is scheduled for a flyby viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Gilligan Funeral Home, where stories will surely loop and barrel-roll. Following this, we'll have a lift-off for a Life Celebration at the Manor House from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, promising to be a supersonic shindig of stratospheric proportions.
Final touchdown for Ted will be 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29th at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Ave 45211.
In lieu of floral flybys, donations can be vectored in Ted's honor to the Hospice of Cincinnati, a charity that Ted held as dear as a tailwind on a long-haul flight. Gilligan Funeral Home has been tapped as air traffic control for all final arrangements. Fasten your seatbelts, folks—Ted's final journey is guaranteed to be an E-Ticket ride in the amusement park of the great beyond: Enthusiastically Ted, Earnestly Treasured.
