Sr. Marie Smith, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, born in Dayton, OH, died peacefully on April 1, 2025 at the age of 83 years, in the 64th year of her religious life. Her passing is mourned by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, her brother Carl, and nieces and nephews. Her parents, brother Jim, and sister Betty preceded her in death. Sister's ministry as educator and administrator took her to various locations in Ohio, most notably over 30 years at Corryville Catholic School in Cincinnati. After her retirement Sister served her community as the Director of the Spirituality Center, in community service, and in prayer.

The Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 15 from 1-2 p.m. at Mt. Notre Dame Health Center, 699 E. Columbia Ave, Cincinnati, OH (513-821-7448), followed by the Mass of Christian Burial and Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Retirement Fund of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 701 E. Columbia Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
