IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley A.
Meldrum
September 3, 1936 – October 1, 2024
On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Shirley Ann Meldrum (nee Weisbrod) passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was born on September 3, 1936 to Joseph L. Weisbrod and Rosemary P. Weisbrod (nee Sieber) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward D. Meldrum; her children, Dennis (Michelle) Meldrum, Jennifer (Julie) Meldrum-Parks and Kathleen (Benjamin) Wethington, her grandchildren, Comar Conner Watson, Lamar Meldrum-Parks, Maxwell Baker, and Damin Baker, as well as sister Carol (the late Robert) Tepe. She was the beloved aunt of Rick Weisbrod, Dan Weisbrod, Doug Weisbrod, Tom (Kim) Tepe and Rob (Jenny) Tepe. Shirley was preceded in death by her brother Richard Weisbrod, sister-in-law Shirley Weisbrod, and her grandson Ian Early. Shirley was a friend to many and will be missed by all.
A charismatic extrovert, Shirley, could make new acquaintances everywhere she went. She was a hometown sports enthusiast rooting for the Reds and Bengals in good seasons as well as bad. She was a supportive gentle touch on your shoulder, a friend to confide in, a warm hug or a swift kick in the behind, depending on what the occasion called for. Her magnetic personality drew love to her as easily as she afforded it, and her magnetic field stopped every watch that she ever owned. She loved watching golf and gambling at the casino. Her laughter was contagious and her spirit unstoppable. Her life is celebrated because rare souls like Shirley give life a reason to be celebrated.
