Ruth Elizabeth (Schnee) Uecker passed away from this life on February 12, 2015, at her home in Kenwood Ohio, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on March 9, 1927, in Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, her son, Brother Steven Uecker, OFM, and her parents Elmer and Luella (Wesner) Schnee. She is survived by her sisters Marian Davis and Betty Lacey, her brother Bob (Sylvia) Schnee, children Michael (Carolyn), John, Joseph (Patty), Robert (Glenna), Matthew (Amy), Mary Jo (Rob Schuette), Bro Duane Torisky, OFM, 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Gilligan Funeral Home at 8225 Montgomery Road on February 18 from 6:00 8:00 pm and at the St. Gertrude Parish Center on Thursday, February 19 at 12:00 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at St. Gertrude Church. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to St Gertrude School, Cincinnati Right-to-Life, Hospice of Southwest Ohio, and/or St. Rita School for the Deaf.
