Ruth Marie Vonder Haar Beiting was born on June 20, 1932 to Bernadette and Roman Vonder Haar of Celina, Ohio. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 21, 2015, age 82. Beloved wife of Thomas L. Beiting for 55 years. Devoted mother of Thomas, Mary Ann, John, Laura (Kelley) Peter, and Michael (Donna). Dear grandmother of Ashley, Kelley Jr., Michaela, and Hannah. Loving sister of Dr. Thomas (Doris) Vonder Haar, Rose Anne Vonder Haar, Mary Margaret (Harry) Heckler, Therese (late Andrew) Schlidt, and John (Diane) Vonder Haar. Sister-in-law of John (late Marilyn) Beiting and the late Gene "Zeke" Beiting. Also survived by cousins and 20 nieces and nephews. Ruth graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Celina, where she was class valedictorian, and the College of Mount St. Joseph, where she was a journalism student and editor-in-chief of the Seton Journal. After graduation, she wrote for The Catholic Telegraph before becoming a homemaker always caring, always loving, ever vigilant. Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015 from 10 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, 45236. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruth's name to the College of Mount St. Joseph, All Saints School Endowment Fund, or Immaculate Conception School Appeal, 229 West Anthony Street, Celina, Ohio 45822.
