Rose M. Michel of Fairfield, Ohio was unexpectedly called home to the Lord on Sunday, December 8th, 2024 at age 85.

Rose was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 13th, 1939 to parents John and Jane Piasecki. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Barbara J. Rectenwald, and nephew, Tommy Rectenwald. She is survived by her brother, Robert Piasecki; her three children, Kathy (Pat) Belzer, Kevin (Anne) Meyers, Kelly Spenny; her nephews, Robbie Piasecki, Phillip Rectenwald; her niece, Brenda Shope; her grandchildren, Devin (Andrea) Spenny, Katie (Brandon) Kready, Alex Spenny, Colleen (Michael) Olson; and great-grandchildren, Jack Kready and June Spenny.

Rose was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo. She lived a fulfilling life as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, nana, great nana, and friend. She dearly loved all of her grand pups and enjoyed reading, maintaining her home and garden on Tallawanda, and being a friend and friendly neighbor. She was a woman of strong and bold faith and never hesitated to share her faith in Jesus with others.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Bethesda North Hospital for the care and compassion they showed toward Rose and the entire family during this difficult time.

Rose's service will be held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at Gilligan Funeral Home on Montgomery Road in Kenwood, with visitation from 11:00 AM to Noon and a short service to follow. Subsequent entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private and for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Rose's honor.

Your tenderness and loving ways will get us through our lonely days. Your picture is carried in our minds with love that stands the test of time. You helped us find our walking shoes and taught us lessons we will always use. Every time we think of you, we smile, knowing that we will see you after a while.
