Roman J. Schweikert Over the course of 79 years, Mr. Schweikert dedicated his life to education and community service for students, teachers, seniors and countless others in the Greater Cincinnati area. Education and the teaching profession captured Mr. Schweikert's imagination during his high school years at Purcell. He held bachelor and masters degrees in History from Xavier University and a doctoral degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Schweikert taught in Montana, as well as Woodward High School, and his alma mater XU for almost 40 years. Upon retirement, he dedicated his energies to community service including the Sycamore Senior Center's Board of Trustees where he served for 10 years, two of which were spent as Board President. Roman J. Schweikert passed away suddenly on March 29, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond, and grandson Christopher Michael. Mr. Schweikert is survived by his loving wifeof 48 years, Marilyn; his devoted children Chris (spouse Beth (nee Loughery), Greg (spouse Karen (nee Nusekabel), Tim (spouse Mary Beth (nee Schutter), Amy (spouse Rob Hiltz), and Tad; as well as eight grandchildren Kyle, Kathleen, Molly, Claire, Grace, Thomas, Kelly, and Kate. Mr. Schweikert also is survived by his sisters Dolores Hiltenbeitel and Rose Marie Tensi. Visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Home in Kenwood on Friday, April 1st from 5-8 P.M. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd at 10 A.M. at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Kenwood. Memorial donations can be sent to the St. Vincent Ferrer Church at 7754 Montgomery Road, Kenwood, Ohio, 45236; or to the Sycamore Senior Center at 4455 Carver Woods Drive, Blue Ash, Ohio, 45242.
