Robert "Bob" Alexander Muccino, died Wednesday, June 23 at the age of 79. He was the loving father of Karen (Craig) Ballard, Anthony D. Muccino, and Angela M. (Andrew) Farwig, and proud grandfather of Alex and Mason Muccino and Emmett and Cole Farwig. Bob is survived by two sisters, Marian Clark of Cincinnati and Linda Walsh of New Hope, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law Richard Walsh, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary C. "Kitty" Grady Muccino and Robert J. Muccino, and brother-in-law, William Clark of Cincinnati.
Bob was born in Cincinnati on January 15, 1943 and raised in Madeira. He attended St. Gertrude School, where he played basketball and served as an altar boy. He attended St. Xavier High School (class of 1961), playing shortstop and third base on the baseball team, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BBA degree in 1966. Bob was a lifelong Reds fan and a 50-year Bengals season ticket holder, rarely missing a game. He was in the stands at Riverfront Stadium when Pete Rose became the hit king with hit number 4192. He loved to play golf, travel, cook, and work in the yard.
He pursued a long career in sales and administration and fulfilled his dream of owning his own bar. Bob was also a great friend and storyteller, and spent many happy hours sitting on his back patio listening to the ballgame while enjoying a drink and a cigar.
Visitation will be Monday, June 27, at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Road, Loveland, OH from 9:30-10:30am followed by a Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reds Community Fund , 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202 or a charity of your choice.
