Rita McDonagh (nee Walsh) passed away Monday, October 3, 2005, age 80 years; residence Hammond North, College Hill. Born in Co. Roscommon, Ireland, immigrated to Cincinnati in 1949. Beloved wife of the late William McDonagh, devoted mother of Mary Frances Hunter (Marvin), Bridget, Catherine, John, Rita Debora McAdams (Mark), William, Eileen Douglas, Noreen Mitchell (Jeff), Thomas (deceased) and Joseph (deceased). Loving grandmother of Lindsay, Kirby, Michael and Megan McDonagh; Stacey and Kathryn Douglas; Joseph Heitfeld, Craig and Cory Mitchell. Great-grandmother to Antonio Orosco and Alva Keller; and Nanny to Alison and Emily Hausler. Dear sister of Josie Walsh, Melbourne, Australia; Bridget Lynch (deceased) Birmingham, England; John Walsh (deceased) Dublin, Ireland, and Phyllis O'Rourke, Birmingham, England. Survived by her devoted sisters-in-law Delia Tighe, Cincinnati; Sarah Ludden, Eileen and Deliah McDonagh, Co. Galway, Ireland; and Sr. Mary Frances McDonagh OSU and Sr. Mary Patrick McDonagh OSU, Belleville, IL. She leaves behind many caring nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. Past President of the St. Bridget's Division of the L.A.O.H., and founder of the Hibernian Dancers of Cincinnati. Retired from P&G in 1987. Visitation Thursday, October 6 from 5pm-9pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd, with L.A.O.H. prayer service at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Rd on Friday, October 7, 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
