Richard N. Westbrook of Cincinnati died August 7, 2009 at the age of 88 years. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1942, he served as a bomber navigator with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. A 1st Lieutenant, he received the Air Medal and 10 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Presidential Unit Citation and the Croix de Guerre with Palm. After the war, he was a long-time resident of Closter, New Jersey, and spent his entire business career working in New York City as a securities analyst and mutual fund portfolio manager. He was a member of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Marie O'Donnell Westbrook, devoted father of Philip (Greta) Westbrook, Pamela (Thomas) McFadden, Paula (Lawrence) Walsh and Peter Westbrook, dear brother of Barbara Duffy, loving grandfather of Melissa (Tim) Weicker, Matthew (Marin) McFadden, Ryan McFadden and Kelly Walsh, dear great-grandfather of Brendan, Dylan and Kate Weicker, and Jack McFadden. Visitation will be on Monday, August 10th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 East Kemper Rd., Montgomery, from 11 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM.
