Raymond N. Gates, beloved husband of the late Margaret Speller Gates, devoted father of Marilyn (John) McPhillips, Martin (Debbie) Gates, Beverly (Gerry) Kelly, Gary (Ann) Gates and Glenn (Lorrie) Gates, loving grandfather of Mark, John and Kristen McPhillips, Laura and Anne Kelly, Jillian, Julia, Jennifer and Ashley Gates, dear great-grandfather of Paige and Allison McPhillips, dear brother of Paul and Robert Gates. Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the age of 86. Friends may call Wednesday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 Kemper Rd., from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 2936 Vernon Pl., Cinti 45219 or the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cinti 45206.
