Paul S. Verkamp, beloved husband of Fran Verkamp (nee Malsbary), devoted father of Cheryl Eichmann (James) and Thomas Verkamp (Debbie), loving grandfather of Stephen Eichmann (Laurie) and Kelly Eichmann, Eric, Emily and Matthew Verkamp, and the late Kevin Eichmann, great-grandfather of Eva and Lila Eichmann. Fran & Paul were married 63 years. Mr. Verkamp served overseas in Europe 3 years, during WW II, attached to the 8th Air Force. He was past president of Hare & Son Builders & Realtors, and retired in 1997 after 60 years with the firm. He was a member of Kenwood Country Club. Departed Monday, December 12, 2011 at age 90. Visitation 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, December 15 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery & Galbraith. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Friday at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Kenwood.
