Patricia Baker Welch died peacefully on February 1st at age 91. The wife of the late Fredric Byron Welch and wonderful mother to Barbara B. Welch of Mariemont, William "Buck" (Pam) Welch of Andover, KS, and the late Fredric "Byron" III (Donna) Welch, Grandmother to Alicia Welch Brenner, Morgan Meyer Welch, and an aunt fondly remembered by many nephews and nieces. Patti was born January 21, 1920 in Portland, OR, and growing up there enjoyed all that her beloved state had to offer; skiing, hiking, riding, swimming and canoeing. She attended the University of Oregon and was an Alpha Phi. A blind date during the war started a love affair and marriage that lasted a lifetime. Fred knew once the family settled in Ohio that he had better get a cottage by a lake for Patti. She enjoyed her Ludington, MI cabin every summer including nearly 5 months this year, a gift that her nurse Kristine and her daughter Barbara were able to give to her. No visitation. Friends may attend the Funeral Service at Indian Hill Episcopal Church, 6000 Drake Rd., Indian Hill on Monday, February 7 at 4 PM. Her love of dogs can be honored by a donation to the no-kill shelter, Save the Animals Foundation, PO Box 9356, Cinti 45209-0356.
