Patricia (Pat) Lynn Taggart, age 71, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 15, 2025. Pat was born on December 27, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Daniel and Dorothy Taggart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Dorothy Taggart. She is survived by her sisters, Deborah Benedict (Ron) and Janis Heidel. (Keith); her nieces, Kristen Heidel and Kathleen (Andrew) Romant; and her great-nephew and great-niece, Jackson and Caroline Romant.
Pat attended All Saints School in Cincinnati before the Taggart family moved to Birmingham, Michigan, in 1969. She was a graduate of Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Pat was known for her deep devotion to the Catholic Church and attended Mass regularly while she was able. She also had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed walking and took particular joy in caring for the dogs of friends, neighbors, and family. Pat never missed an opportunity to engage in conversation, whether with someone walking a dog or a passerby without one—she simply loved talking with people whenever the chance arose.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Pat was very physically active and enjoyed walking and biking. She went on numerous biking trips with friends and family and truly loved the outdoors. She also participated in the annual Labor Day walk across the Mackinac Bridge with friends in Northern Michigan. Pat loved to travel with friends and her parents to many wonderful destinations, with Florida being her favorite place to visit for its sunshine. She was a free spirit who enjoyed crafts, music, walking on the beach, and occasionally indulging in a “beach-style” drink. Curious by nature, Pat was never afraid to ask questions and took genuine interest in both people and the world around her.
In her later years, Pat received devoted care and loving attention from her sisters, Jan and Debbie. She was also blessed with a close and caring group of friends she met through Thursday gatherings at the Coffee Caravan, which brought her great joy and happiness.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, at Gate of Heaven Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Coffee Caravan in Lebanon
