Patricia R. Sandmann (nee Powers) passed away Tuesday, April 17th at the age of 84 after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Burton (Brian), Cathy Deters ( Mike), Patty Shircliff, Nancy Henderson, Lori Petty (Brian), Becky Sandmann Romero. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, of 60 years, and oldest daughter Cindy Sandmann (Vercauteren). Pat absolutely adored her grandchildren, Michael, Bobby (Ashley), Jordan, Caitlin, Brady, Logan (Matt), Marina, Jade, Dylan, Gracie, Ben, Lou, Piper and her great-grandchildren Ella and Rylan. Patricia grew up in Hyde Park and was the second oldest of twelve children, born on August 29, 1933 to the late Loretta and Joseph Powers. She attended St. Marys School of Hyde Park for both grade school and high school. After she and Lou married, her home was in Mt. Adams, where she went on to live for most of her life. It was in Mt. Adams where she and Lou raised their seven cherished daughters. Pat will be remembered most for her patience, kindness, and friendship. She loved more than anything her days spent traveling, shopping, and going to her favorite lunch spots. Her most cherished moments were spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren for family fun and special occasions. Pats warm smile and shared wisdom will forever stay in the hearts of all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave., Sunday, April 22nd from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23rd at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church in Mt. Adams.
