Patricia "Pat" Craig Anderson, 80, of Maineville, OH, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2019.Born March 13, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Rahway, NJ, Pat was the only child of Scottish immigrant parents. She attended Newark State College and later started her career as a kindergarten teacher. Pat married her husband, Tom, in 1963. Pat was known for her creative touch and delighted many with her baked and crafted creations. A life-long Catholic, Pat was a devoted and active member of St. Margaret of York Catholic Church for over 30 years. Pat is survived by her children Terrence J. (Sara Alyea) Anderson of Princeton, NJ, and Meghan (Lauren Wales) Anderson of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren Ethan, Caroline, and Lindsey Anderson, and Aliah Wales-Miller; sisters-in-law Muriel Parmalee of Dingman's Ferry, PA and Sr. Margaret Anderson, OP of Bronx, NY; 7 nieces and nephews; 23 grandnieces and nephews; and 5 great grandnieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Anderson; brothers-in-law Fr. Arthur Anderson and Robert Parmalee; nephew John Parmalee; and grand-nephew Robert Horvath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 9, 2019 at 11:00 am St. Margaret of York Catholic Church with reception to follow.It was Pat's pleasure for many years to sponsor a student at Home of Nazareth, a Catholic school in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to Esperanza for Honduras. Esperanza for Honduras is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in the state of Ohio. 100% of all donations support Home of Nazareth. The school educates and feeds children ages 5 - 18.
