Nora M. Larson

Nora M. Larson, 94, formerly of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Ohio. Born on March 4, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert Francis and Lucille McBride Sheridan.

Nora was the beloved wife of David A. Larson for 62 years until his passing in 2015. She was a devoted mother to David Larson Jr. (Mary Farragher), Linda Larson Gawne (Matthew), Michael Larson (Judy), and Laura Larson Stautberg (Thomas). She was a cherished grandmother to Bridget, Andrew, Kelly, Michael, Jack, Brodie, Riley, Katherine, and William. Nora was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Brooks, Quinn and Sloane (children of Bridget and Cole Braham), Graham and Warren (children of Michael and Katie Gawne), and Tucker (child of Andrew and Patricia Larson).

She is also remembered as the dear sister of Mary Theresa (P.E.) Burrows, Robert (Rita) Sheridan, John (Mary) Sheridan, and Michael (Judy) Sheridan. Nora was a fond aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.

A proud graduate of Ursuline High School's Class of 1950, Nora was an active member of St. Michael's Parish and the Canfield Boosters while raising her family in Canfield, Ohio. Her life's journey later took her to Anderson, South Carolina; Baltimore, Maryland; and South Bend, Indiana before retiring to Hilton Head Island.

A Mass will be celebrated by her great-nephew, The Very Reverend John Sheridan, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, Ohio. Nora will be laid to rest at the St. Francis by the Sea columbarium on Hilton Head Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David A. Larson & Nora M. Larson Scholarship Fund at St. Francis Catholic School or Hospice of Cincinnati.
