Mary Lou Traut (96), beloved wife of the late Raymond Traut, devoted daughter of the late George and Elsie Rucktaschel, and sister to the late Ruth Woods. Survived by sons Robert and Thomas (Julie) Traut, grandmother to Erica Traut and (Steve) Lubin, Alex Traut, Andrea Traut and (Kennedy) Winn, and Rachel and (Chandler) Breaux, and great grandmother to Natalie and Zachary Lubin, Cameron Winn, and Madeleine Breaux. Departed September 7, 2025.

An avid volunteer, she donated her time to Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, Twin Lakes, and The Greenacres Foundation where she participated in their annual bird watch and count with her sister. She loved bowling and played in the Ringo Lanes senior league well into her eighties. An enthusiastic card player, she could never turn down a game of 500 or Euchre and always had her quarters ready. Doing her daily crossword puzzle – in ink, she was a lover of chocolate covered strawberries and shakes. Mary Lou was an enthusiastic book reader and gardener; there were always flowers and at least one tomato plant planted outside her back door.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 19th at Saint Gertrude Catholic Church, 6543 Miami Ave, Madeira at 12pm with mass of Christian Burial at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little Brothers, 5530 Colerain Ave, Cinti OH 45239 or St Rita School for the Deaf, 1720 Glendale Milford Rd, Evandale OH 45215.
