Obituary

Mary Lou Ranieri, nee Mary Louise Loomis, age 87, of Fairfield, Ohio, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at home on Thursday, May 19, 2016, after a long struggle with cancer. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 23, 1929 to Dale and Margaret Loomis, Mary Lou remained a Cincinnati resident her entire life. She graduated from Withrow High School, was working as a secretary when in 1950 she married Samuel N. (Sam) Ranieri, loving husband who predeceased her in December, 1996. Mary Lou was an excellent seamstress and also enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, and visits with family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and family pets. She will always be remembered for her warmth and kindness, and the love she demonstrated to those around her. She was the type of person who made friends everywhere and always tried to spread more joy in the world. She is survived by her three children, Nancy (Paul) Klymko, Mike (Fran) Ranieri, and Steve (Chris) Ranieri, and grandchildren Christine Klymko, Katie Klymko, and Allison Ranieri, as well as many long time friends. She was predeceased by her stepfather Jack Boebinger, father Allen Dale Loomis, mother Margaret Loomis Boebinger, and brother Dick Loomis. Visitation (10am) and Mass of Christian Burial (12pm) will be held on Friday May 27, 2016, at The Community of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A reception at church will immediately follow the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family would like to thank the dedicated care givers at Otterbein TCU, Otterbein Hospice, and Visiting Angels (West Chester, Ohio). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society
