Mary Magdaline Mumfrey 96, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away Friday December 27th, 2024. She was born October 20th, 1928, in Beattyville, KY, Daughter of the late Salvatore and Lenora (Napier) Sama.

Mary enjoyed Bingo, the casino, crocheting, and playing cards, but mostly loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Lenora (Greg) Watson of Cincinnati, OH, Louise (Joseph) Burress of Lawrenceburg, IN, Linda Mumfrey of Lawrenceburg, IN and 5 sons, Claude (Jeanie) Combs of Campbellsburg, IN; Mario (Sherry) Mumfrey of Cincinnati, OH, Silvestro (Laurie) Mumfrey of Aurora, IN, Lougino (Missy) Mumfrey of Cincinnati, OH; Geraldino (Nancy) Mumfrey of Cincinnati, OH and daughter-in-law Sheryl Mumfrey (wife of late Benjamin Dante Mumfrey) of Hamilton, OH.

She has 26 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Viola Gilstrap and Betty Daugherty and 3 brothers, Joe Ben Sama, Henry Sama and Salvatore Sama, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Rino Mumfrey, sons Benjamin Dante Mumfrey and Antonio Glenn Mumfrey;  sisters Ruth, Martha, Evelyn and Lucy, and brothers Carlo and Charlie.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Gilligan Funeral Home, 3671 Warsaw Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45205. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society .
