Mary B. Kelly (nee Burriss), beloved wife of the late Robert J. Kelly. Loving mother of Margaret A. (Dennis) Grayson, Richard R. (Carol) Kelly, Gerald E. (Beverly) Kelly, David C. (Anne) Kelly and the late Susan E. Kelly. Grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2. Died December 24, 2012 at the age of 92. Born 1920, in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, to Edmund and Naomi Burriss. Graduate of Ohio University, Athens , OH in 1941 where she was an active member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Commissioned as Ensign US Navy in 1943. Married to Robert J Kelly of Columbus, OH in 1944. Following WWII, moved to various cities throughout Robert's career with Mead Corp. Retired to Garden City and later to Pawleys Island, SC. She performed volunteer service at Brook Green Gardens where she pursued her life-long love of flowers and gardening. Recently relocated to The Seasons in Kenwood, OH to be close to family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday December 29, at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. at Galbraith (45236) from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to Red Cross Disaster Relief or the Charity of One's Choice.
