Mary B. Fischer (nee Foley). Beloved wife of Donald C. Fischer, M.D., loving mother of Steve (Peg), Kathy (Joel Lees), Ann (Chris Clardy), Mark (Mary Pat), and Beth (Jamie Wong). She is also survived by eight grandsons, six granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters as well as three sisters; Kate Eggleston, Ann Walters, and Jeanie Burtis, of Binghamton, NY. Passed away peacefully at her home in Cincinnati on March 18 at the age of 82. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy in Binghamton, NY, the College of New Rochelle, and St. Louis University, where she obtained a Masters of Social Work. She was an Emeritus Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cincinnati. Mary and Don were married over 57 years. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 8:30 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude Parish Center, followed at 10:00 a.m. by a Funeral Mass at St. Gertrude Church (7630 Shawnee Run Road); interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution in her name to Pregnancy Center East (3944 Edwards Road, Cincinnati, OH 45209), Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation (375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220) or St. Gertrude's Novices Program (7630 Shawnee Run Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243).
